Ski Race League on Wednesday

 

Pine Mountain adult ski race league has concluded its 3rd week of the season. 

 

Doug Hill, Erik Larson and John Bittinger have earned platinum metals while John Hayes, Tim Brooks, Gary Mannigel, Bud DeLano, Kevin Cory, Christine Lutey, Dan Cecconi and Bruce Laing claimed gold.

 

“The Nastar format recreational race league is still open to anyone that wants to test their skills in the gates for the rest of the season,” said Pine Mountain Ski Club President Jim Bittinger.  “No previous racing experience is necessary.” 

 

Nastar handicaps are awarded based on the Nastar formula that includes skiing ability, gender, and age.  Prizes donated by Pine Mountain Sport Shop and Pine Mountain Resort will be awarded at the end of the season.  

 

There is no cost for the Nastar racing, but lift tickets are required (season pass or a night skiing pass for only $15.00).  The race league runs from 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM every Wednesday evening and is expected to continue through March. 

Racers may sign up for the league in Pine Mountain’s Sitzmark Bar after 6:30 PM on the race day.
